Why is there so
much mediocrity in our country?
Too many contradictions alienate our common
sense
as
we lose perspective and respect for each other.
The blindness
that develops in individuals when genuine appeals and
authentic responses are neglected for power and greed,
reduces the desire for what’s legitimate and healthy.
Telling the truth
is an enormous advantage when people are thinking
and doing the right thing the first time
without double standards and hypocrisy that
have diluted the trust and confidence in our country.
Education budgets are an extremely small
percentage of the GDP.
Most schools
lack the proper funds to supply the best education
and
classrooms are over-crowded. Students don’t get the
attention they need to train their minds to think clearly and respond
objectively. Without these skills, you’ll have a hard time making
decisions and becoming an effective adult.
Marriages fail at a 50% rate. 25% of high school
students drop out
in California.
Eating disorders are common but approximately one
third
of American adults are obese and childhood obesity is at an all
time high. 70 million people don’t sleep soundly at night. Alcohol
and drug addiction touches every family and cancer
is an
epidemic. What are we doing
right?
When you read about business
leaders and government officials
lacking
values, morals, ethics and integrity with past examples such
as Enron, Tyco, WorldCom and Adelphia. The additional Wall
Street bailout, the financial community meltdown and the American
automakers are now on the verge of bankruptcy.
When
transparency is blocked and honesty is omitted,
our conscious
effort to do the right thing
gets confused.
The tool of greed
that committed fraud was dishonesty.
How many parents without partners are raising children with no one to help them maintain the responsibilities that it takes to teach a child the difference between right and wrong? Who is taking the time to develop a child’s interests with checks and balances that inspire honesty? How many adults show by example what they
expect, so there’s no contradictions
with, “Do as I say, not as I do?” Everyday
you can make a difference.
Activate the incredible person you are inside.
